Mark Fortune

Mark graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2007, achieving distinction in the final examinations. He has had a varied career, working in Scotland, Australia and England.
Mark’s particular interests within dentistry are cosmetic orthodontics and restorative dentistry, in particular adhesive dentistry (working with white filling materials and other materials that are glued to the teeth). He prides himself on providing high quality, beautiful dentistry in a painless manner..
“By far the best practice I’ve been to. Mark is fantastic with our young children and is incredibly patient, taking the time to make them feel comfortable and enjoy their visit. Always incredibly knowledgeable and approachable with any questions. The reception staff are also wonderful and make you feel so valued, whether via phone or in the practice! Highly recommend!.”
Whilst I love being a dentist, I value my free time and have many hobbies and interests out of work. I have two young children and I love spending time with them and all of my family. We love days out in the Lake District, cycling at watch tree, walking many of the beautiful walks in the area and visiting other members of the family.
In terms of hobbies, I’m a very keen fisherman, fishing for anything that swims. In particular, I love fishing for salmon, trout and sea trout on rivers. I can sometimes be seen creeping about on the banks of the River Eden!
My other main hobby is gardening. I’ve gardened from an early age. I love growing all plants, but have a particular passion for growing tomatoes and chillies. I love cooking, particularly with fish I’ve caught or veg that I’ve grown. Being Scottish, I obviously enjoying drinking whisky, although strictly in moderation!“Excellent service from Mark and the team…. absolutely top class…..”
