Mark Fortune
Mark graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2007, achieving distinction in the final examinations. He has had a varied career, working in Scotland, Australia and England. Mark’s particular interests within dentistry are cosmetic orthodontics and restorative dentistry, in particular adhesive dentistry (working with white filling materials and other materials that are glued to the teeth). He prides himself on providing high quality, beautiful dentistry in a painless manner…

Matt Gribbon
Matt graduated from the University of Manchester in 2019 and successfully completed foundation training within North Wales. He worked for a short period in general practice in North Wales whilst taking further examinations to become a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
Following this Matt has taken Core Training posts in the Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery departments at both the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Cumberland Infirmary furthering his surgical knowledge and skills.

Rebecca Fortune
Rebecca graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2007. Since graduation Rebecca has worked in general practice and has gained experience working in a variety of settings within Scotland, Australia, and England. Rebecca enjoys all aspects of general dental practice and strives to provide the best care she can for all her patients. She sees herself very much as a family dentist and she is particularly good with anxious patients.
Rebecca is currently working towards a postgraduate certificate in restorative dentistry under the tutelage of some of the key leaders in the field.
Outside of dentistry, Rebecca loves spending time with her husband and two young children. They spend a lot of time in their garden nearby in the Lake District and they also enjoy spending time with family and friends. Rebecca is also interested in interior design and various arts and crafts, especially pottery. She loves to travel and see the world and particularly loves visiting France and loves pretty much everything French!

David Bullamore
David graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2010. Since then he has carried postgraduate training for root canal treatments achieving a Masters with distinction in Endodontics from the University of Chester.
He has also completed an Advanced Postgraduate Certificate in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry from the Dominic Hassall Training Institute and he is a Certified Bioclear Practitioner.
David enjoys dentistry and continuing to learn and improve his skills. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family. David has three daughters who bring him lots of joy and entertainment. They all like getting away for a mini break when they can, enjoying the amazing scenery in the Lake District and the Pennines. In his free time David loves watching films, especially anything from the Marvel universe…

Angela Edgar
Angela graduated from Liverpool Dental School in December 2010. Previously Angela had worked as a dental nurse in the community dental services in Carlisle, where she helped treat a lot of nervous and anxious patients. Since qualifying as a Dental Therapist she has worked in Carlisle and Penrith, building her knowledge and skills in restorative dentistry…

Ayush Kanabar
Ayush Kanabar is a dedicated dental professional originally from India and now based in Kendal, Cumbria.
Alongside his work at a Kendal-based practice, Ayush is part of the team at Lismore House Dental Practice in Carlisle, where he provides high-quality Dental Therapy and particularly enjoys this aspect of his work.
Ayush is passionate about developing his skills and has completed a master’s degree in Digital Dental Technology from Bolton University. Known for his quiet, calm, and reassuring manner, he is especially good with nervous patients and takes great pride in providing thorough, patient-centred care.
Outside of dentistry, Ayush enjoys spending time in the fresh air of the Lake District, often hiking with his partner Shalini. He also loves staying connected with his friends back in India and values the relationships that continue to inspire him.

Jackie Dobson
Jackie is a qualified dental hygienist. She qualified in 1987, receiving her training within the RAF and serving for a further five years. Following her time with the RAF she lived and worked in Cornwall, moving to Carlisle 2001. She works at Lismore House Dental Practice on a part-time basis.
In her free time, Jackie is a keen gardener and has an interest in photography, walking and is an animal lover.

Gemma Robinson
Gemma began her journey at Lismore House in 2015 as a dental nurse and has since progressed to her role as Practice Manager. She plays a key part in supporting the team and driving the continued growth and success of the practice, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
Outside of work, Gemma has a love for all things retro, often bringing these touches into her home decor. She enjoys long walks with her beloved dachshunds, Bruno and Pedro, and visiting local pubs to soak up their unique atmosphere. When Gemma finds the time she loves gigging and has a passion for karate.

Sarah Morton
Sarah qualified as an NEBDN dental nurse in 2002 and has worked in dentistry for over 25 years. She is a friendly and caring member of staff who takes pride in her work and often puts her acquired counselling skills to good use with nervous patients.
Sarah brought a new role in to Lismore House in 2021, the care and wellbeing officer. This is a role that involves taking time to ensure all staff are in a good, healthy head space within their working hours. Her door is always open for staff to come in for a chat if needed.
Currently, Sarah has moved into a new area of dentistry within Lismore House as the full-time treatment co-ordinator. This is a role that helps patients feel supported throughout their journey within the practice, whilst helping them to achieve their dental goals. It’s a role that incorporates her dentistry and people skills and a position within Lismore that she enjoys very much. Sarah loves chatting to patients and building rapport with them, creating trust between patients and the practice is very important to her.
In her spare time, Sarah likes to renovate and up-cycle furniture, with a keen interest in old collectables. She also likes to spend time with her husband, twin girl’s, and Rex cats.

Chelsea McPherson
Chelsea joined our practice in June 2022 as a trainee dental nurse and quickly proved herself to be a dedicated member of the team. Through hard work and commitment, she achieved her qualification in 2024. Chelsea enjoys taking on extra responsibilities within the practice and has proudly stepped into the role of Decontamination Lead.
She is passionate about all aspects of dental nursing and is known for her warm, caring approach to patient care.
Outside of work, Chelsea loves spending time with her dog, Honey, and attends motorsport events whenever she gets the chance.

Claire Heuvingh

Julie Richardson
Julie qualified as a dental nurse in 2007 and has enjoyed working in a few local practices over the years. We were delighted when Julie joined the Lismore team in 2022 bringing to the practice a wealth of much useful knowledge and experience. Julie has a wonderful, serene nature which she brings to the dental environment, and she enjoys assisting our clinicians Mark and Angela very much.
In her spare time Julie enjoys travelling to London to see shows and concerts, she also likes to relax by spending quality time with her two cats Simon and Dora.

Hollie Robinson
Hollie joined our practice in 2023 and has become a reliable member of the team. This year she completed her transition from trainee dental nurse to becoming fully qualified in the role. Hollie enjoys the variety that dental nursing offers and enjoys contributing to the smooth running of the practice day to day.
Outside of work, Hollie likes spending time with friends, going out for meals, and creating travel plans. She enjoys organising future trips, whether it’s a short city break or a quiet beach holiday. Her steady, dependable nature makes her a valued part of our team.

Aimee Broomby
Aimee is our supportive trainee dental nurse. She loves helping people and finds dental nursing rewarding. When she’s not in scrubs, you’ll find her out and about with her two Basset Hounds, Henry and Elsie.
Aimee is happiest when she is spending time with family and friends or planning her next holiday adventure and is always happy to help our patients when they need it.

Anna Sisson
Anna joined Lismore House in January 2024 as a trainee dental nurse and has quickly become a valued part of our team. Kind, dependable, and naturally calm, she brings a gentle presence to the practice that helps put both colleagues and patients at ease.
Within dentistry, Anna especially enjoys working alongside our clinician Rebecca, supporting nervous patients throughout their smile journeys. She also loves assisting our hygienists and being involved in all aspects of patient care.
Outside of work, Anna enjoys shopping, walking in the Lake District, and going out for meals with her partner, McKenzie – particularly when Italian food is involved. She also loves a relaxing beach holiday whenever she gets the chance.

Catherine Garcia
Catherine joined Lismore House in 2022 and has been a warm, welcoming presence ever since. She loves helping all patients, especially those who may feel a little nervous and always greets everyone with a smile. Whether it’s offering a friendly chat or a comforting tea or coffee on arrival, Catherine goes the extra mile to help patients relax and feel at ease.
Since starting with us, she has built wonderful relationships with both her team and the patients, becoming a truly valued part of the Lismore House family.
Outside of reception, Catherine has a passion for musical theatre and enjoys spending quality time with her family. She’s also the proud owner of Hazel, her lovable English bulldog. A fan of dining out, Catherine appreciates a good red wine paired with delicious cheese, her idea of the perfect treat.

Courtney Eilbeck
Courtney joined the Lismore front of house team in August 2023. She has a welcoming personality and loves meeting and greeting all our patients with a warm smile.
Courtney loves to help patient’s, managing their queries and booking their appointments is amongst some of her daily tasks.
In her spare time Courtney enjoys spending time with her family and walking her three dogs.

Lionel Lismore
Lionel has been introduced as the practice mascot for Lismore House since September 2023. Before this, Lionel was going to be doomed to the role of wedging doors open and was looking for a more fulfilling career.
Lionel can usually be found in the patient lounge, ready to offer support to nervous patients, his biggest fans are our lovely children that like to make a fuss of him at their appointments. This can make their dental experience much more enjoyable and comforting. Lionel even offers colouring in sheets to the children as part of their journey with us, these really keep them entertained whilst they wait to see the clinician.
In his spare time Lionel loves dressing up for all occasions and enjoys socialising with the team very much. He has recently enjoyed his first fishing trip with our dentist Mark and is embarking on some short weekend stays with our other team members. Lionel is a great asset to the Lismore team, and we feel very lucky to have him working along side us.
